Itinerary
Welcome Day
Future astronauts will be transported from their accommodations in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Spaceport America. There, you'll meet the Virgin Galactic team and enjoy a welcome tour of the spaceport. The astronaut instructor will provide an overview of the spaceship, training facilities, and flight schedule.
After an astronaut briefing, you will begin a comprehensive training program designed to prepare you physically, mentally, and spiritually for space. During the "Suits & Gear" training, you'll try on your spacesuit and learn about the flight equipment and communication systems.
Cabin Day
Today, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to spend time with a spaceship pilot in a real flight environment during the G Awareness Flights training. You'll get accustomed to high and low G forces to understand what boost, space, and re-entry feel like.
You’ll also participate in your first Cabin Rehearsal, practicing boarding, strapping in, and moving around the cabin, along with microgravity etiquette. Get familiar with the microgravity timeline and learn how to position yourself perfectly for the best view of Earth's horizon in preparation for the upcoming flight.
Rehearsal Day
Today's rehearsal day will cover a full run-through of Flight Day, including suiting up, transportation to the runway, a complete flight rehearsal with pilots, and post-flight procedures. You'll strap in for another simulated space flight during the Second Cabin Rehearsal. After completing an additional Suits & Gear training session, you'll receive a Readiness Review to ensure you’re fully prepared for your spaceflight the following morning.
Flight Day
Experience the thrill as you walk the runway and feel the anticipation build as you are driven out to pick up your final equipment. As your flight takes off, marvel at the unfolding views of Las Cruces and White Sands National Park as you ascend through the thickest part of the atmosphere. At around 45,000 feet, your spaceship will be released from the mothership, rocketing towards the stars at three times the speed of sound.
Once in space, unbuckle and float around the spacious cabin, experiencing the effortless freedom of zero gravity. As the spaceship rotates for re-entry, take in the breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime view of Earth from 300,000 feet—a precious blue jewel against the inky blackness of space.
The descent brings a smooth landing, followed by a debrief and a celebratory lunch. In the evening, join us for the Wings Ceremony to commemorate your achievement with a celebratory event.
Departure Day
After breakfast, transportation will be arranged to take you to the airport for your onward journey. You'll depart carrying the unforgettable memories of your extraordinary space adventure.
